Writing Your Thesis at Our Professorship

If you are interested in writing your thesis at our professorship, please find the application process below.

Thesis Format

• For bachelor's theses, we exclusively supervise literature reviews.
• Master's theses must be empirical. Please specify the type of data you plan to collect and how you intend to analyse it in your proposal.

General Requirements

• Supervision of a bachelor's thesis requires prior participation in the Bachelor Main Seminar (Hauptseminar) at our chair.
• For master's theses, we expect previous experience in qualitative methods and an interest in purpose-driven and impactful innovation and entrepreneurship.

Finding a Supervisor

Take a look at our team profiles and consider how your research interests connect to their work. Please list a first and second preference and explain why in your application. We will try to match you with your first choice, but this depends on availability.

How to Apply

Please prepare a one-page proposal that includes your research interests, preferred supervisors, research question(s), and preferred start date. Submit this proposal together with your CV and a list of completed courses to Paul Vilchez (P.Vilchez@campus.lmu.de).

Application Deadlines

Applications are accepted four times per year: by March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1. After review, you will receive a confirmation or rejection of supervision from the chair within two weeks and, if applicable, be assigned a supervisor.
